Being forward thinking is in our DNA. Seriously. Which is why we’re always on the lookout for what’s next – and how we can use every tool available to make your business successful. But you may be thinking, “What the heck are Core Web Vitals and how do they affect me?” Well, we’re glad you asked. Because if you have a website and want people to be able to discover you over the competition, have users stay on your site longer and get higher conversion rates, Core Web Vitals should be on your radar. It’s certainly on ours.
So, back to that “what the heck is Core Web Vitals” question, beginning May 2021, Google will roll out a new approach to determining how to rank websites within their search engine. This updated site speed measurement tool doesn’t simply crawl your page, it assesses the real-world experience of your users. It’s incredibly accurate and invaluable when it comes to UX web page creation and maintenance going forward.
Core Web Vitals consists of three measurements including Largest Contentful Paint (LCP), First Input Delay (FID) and Cumulative Layout Shift (CLS) that assess load time, interactivity and visual stability. These insights can then be used to help us ensure the user experience on your website quickly kicks ass (not-so-subtle site speed pun. #sorrynotsorry). And when users like your site, Google likes your site. And when Google likes your site, magic happens. Rainbows appear with buckets of gold and unicorns running free… Wait, no, that doesn’t actually happen. But you get the picture.
Seriously though, you don’t need to be an expert in Core Web Vitals to get the results you want, you need to partner with an expert to achieve superior SEO now and in the future. Guess what.
We’re that agency.
